I never find the time for baths (I barely get in a shower these days.) But my husband loves baths (I think that’s rare in a man.) And he finds time – usually at 11pm after I’m snoring away. Just this morning he told me that in one of his college apartments in Lyon, he had basically a “water room”. His apartment didn’t come with a toilet (a community one was located by the building’ entrance) but his kitchen had a sink, shower and bathtub – the fridge was right beside the tub and he used to eat his meals while lounging in a bath.

I really needed this post. (and by the way, i’ve missed reading your posts). Although I live in a beautiful area and have a wonderful family, I frequently find it hard to appreciate it all. I’ve recently been thinking that I need to make more time just to be with my children, play with them and enjoy them instead of thinking always of the have to’s: bath, dinner, home work, clean up. This post reminded me of what really brings joy and happiness and why I wanted kids to begin with.
